The DFDFCU Nominating Committee has announced two candidates for two open positions on the Board of Directors beginning 2024. An election will not be conducted by ballot, and there will be no nominations from the floor when the nominees equal the number of positions to be filled. If a member wishes to run for the Board, they may contact the Nominating Committee, provide a completed petition that must be signed by 1% of the membership with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 500 signatures, and include a statement of qualifications, biographical data, and a signed statement that the petitioner is agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected to office. In all cases, nominations by petition must be received by March 6, 2024.

2024 Nominees:

Ed Zoltay
Served as a professional firefighter in the State of Colorado for 35 Years.
DFDFCU Board of Directors – Served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2012. Served as Board Vice Chair from 2012 until present.
DFDFCU Supervisory Committee – Served on the DFDFCU Supervisory Committee for 6 years.
DFDFCU ALCO Committee – Currently serving as a member of the Committee.


John Giese
Served as a professional firefighter in the State of Colorado for 36 Years.
DFDFCU Board of Directors – Served as a member of the Board of Directors for 37 years. Served as Chairman of the Board for 16 years.
DFDFCU Supervisory Committee – Served on the DFDFCU Supervisory Committee for 7 years.
DFDFCU ALCO Committee – Served as Chairman of the Committee for 31 years.
Denver Employee Deferred Compensation Committee – Committee Member 12 years. Chairman 4 years.
